Challenges in Design
Good design should appear effortless, however, the reality is that there are a million minor decisions all of which affect the whole. Each job presents its design challenges and considerations. Here a few of our challenges and the resulting solutions.

Hurricane Protection
Insurance required hurricane shutters on a house that was not designed with adequate wall space to allow an exterior shutter. Our solution was to provide a double hung unit with a bermuda style shutter that could be secured from within the room.

The use of doublehung windows is also often substituted for specified out swing casements where the shutters cannot be accessed from outside, such as the second floor of buildings.

Privacy
How to provide privacy from the pool deck and public areas was the challenge with this project. Solar cool reflective glass was the solution, providing both privacy and an energy savings.

Design
The home had a Middle eastern motif that was being used through out. We picked up on some of the motif's used elsewhere in the project and incorporated them into our door design.

Custom Design
The client wanted a reproduction of an antique bed that was bought at auction. Careful measurements were taken from the original, and detailed patterns made for the production of a duplicate. The reproduction was made with the same materials and exacting standards as the original.

Historic Renovation
Historic Renovation requires design that conceals modern technologies. These double hung windows have concealed modern spring balances for the raising and lowering of the sash. No modern hardware is apparent in the construction of these units making them applicable for Historic Renovations.
